Hello everyone,
Today's post is going to be a little bit different than others as it won't be related to beauty or make-up but spring. Yay! I live in London and it is still (very) cold here. I really do envy you if you live somewhere where it is warm 365 days a year. I personally have been counting down for this cold nightmare to finish. When it is cold, many days I feel lazy, demotivated and just tired - but how can I feel excited and motivated to do things when at 4pm it is so dark outside that if you didn't have a watch, you would say it is 10pm based on the level of darkness. This is why I really don't like winter. You wake up, it is dark, you go to work, it is getting bright, you leave work, it is dark. I personally have that kind of weird mind that when it is dark, there is a message coming to my brain saying 'it is time to sleep' even if it's 3pm! On the other hand, if it's 10pm and it is still bright, there is a message 'this is not time to sleep' being send to my brain. However silly and ridiculous it sounds, it is sometimes very difficult to do something, especially when I was at uni and I had to study.
That would be my story but this is not what I want this post to be about. Today, I want to share with you couple of things that I do before spring begins. Because of the feelings I have during spring, entering this season feels almost like entering new year to me. For that reason, every year, I have my own list of things to do to make sure I begin spring being full of motivation etc. In this post, I want to share with you my things to do list and maybe you can get some inspiration or share your thoughts :)
1. Clean my house from head to toe!
As I keep on purchasing new things and bringing more and more home, I also need additional space for everything. For that reason, I think it is a perfect time to organize everything, get rid of the things I don't use - donate or throw them away, and organize everything so it is easier for me to keep everything clean and tidy from spring onward! Cleaning and organizing also includes taking care of my wardrobe - I am going to hide all of this super-extra-warm sweaters and jumpers and put all of the dresses back on the hangers.
2. Get rid of the things I don't use or need.
Unfortunately, sometimes I buy the things that seemed to be interesting to me or were on offer, just to find them 6 months later and ask myself a question 'Why did I buy this?'. Yes, I know, it is really bad and I am trying to work on it. Anyways, while doing my spring-cleaning, I am planning to get rid of everything I don't use or don't need and donate it or sale it. If I am actually able to sell some of the things, I will save and spend for some spring shopping - hopefully not on things I don't need.
3. Let your planner be your best friend!
Anytime in a year is a good time to start using a planner and I don't mean writing down everyone's birthday and that's it. I mean using it regularly. Every day, I have several things to do, bigger and smaller ones, more and less important or exciting and less-exciting ones and many times actually I forgot to do something because I was so excited about something else or I completely forgot about it that's why, this spring I decided to be a good girl a use my planner every day. I am also going to be writing down my ideas for new posts as I usually come up with some when I am not by my laptop.
4. Change your hair!
Spring has always been a perfect time for me when it comes to changing hairstyle. I mean, don't experiment too much, believe me but change your hair in terms of refreshing the colour or the hair cut if your hair needs.5. Exercise!
Thanks for stopping by, xx
I am not an owner of the images in this post - all images found in google/images.
Agree with all of these! Can't wait until it gets a bit warmer and I'm more willing to exercise. A spring clean is also a must!

This is super inspiring!! I have diaries every year and for the first 2 months of the new year I am disciplined in using it but afterwards I just get bored f it, I wish i knew how to stick it out.

the same :D but this spring im trying to stick to it :)
DeleteThese are such great tips! It's so hard to stay motivated when it's cold and dark outside all of the time. It's slowly becoming a bit more spring-like here in Toronto and I already feel better.

You seem to be entering the new season with a very healthy attitude. I hope it gets warmer in Ireland too soon! I don't know why spring is the perfect time to do all this organisation, I suppose it starts to get nice and you feel more motivated. I am so excited to wear shorts and floral prints.
